Robert S. Tucker Sr. working on the tail of a B-17

Here we see Sgt. Robert S. Tucker Sr working on the tail of a B-17. This shows how much effort went into repairing these massive aircraft. This may be a B-17G with the Chayenne tail turret, which had a larger crew position than the standard type.

Pictures provided by Sgt. Robert S. Tucker Sr. (Member of: The American Air Museum in Britain {Duxford} ).
