USS Vicksburg (CL-86) off US East Coast, 17 October 1944
Here we see the Cleveland class light cruiser USS Vicksburg (CL-86) at sea off the US East Coast on 17 October 1944, just after she started serving as a pre-commissioning training vessel for the crews of larger warships. Note the unusual camo, resembling the dazzle camouflage of the First World War.
